Finished my Festivids vid. Gosh, I hope my giftee will like it!

Met [info]ltgarrix  yesterday. Had a fun time :) Got my Farscape megaset (thankeeeeeeeee for ordering it for me!) and I can also finally say that my X-Files set is complete, w00t w00t! Hope you guys had a safe trip to Garmisch and Katie is enjoying her new clothes ;)

My sister and I went to the movies today. We decided on the matinee and we are damn glad we did. We went to the 11:30am showing of Avatar. In 3D. We got out of the theater close to 3pm. We had a rather funny conversation on the way to the theater though....

Sis: "I have a stupid question. What is the movie about?"
Me: "I have a stupid answer. I don't know!"

LMAO! Seriously, we both had no idea what this movie was about nor what to expect. And I have to say: OH - MY - FRELLING - GOD! If you are thinking about seeing this movie, GO!! AND SEE IT IN 3D! The runtime is 161 mins but it's all worth it. The visuals are absolutely WHOA STUNNING! I am still totally taken aback by it. I had no expectations whatsoever going in and it just blew me away. When this movie comes out on DVD, I am so going to get it! And if they put out a 3D version on DVD, I am so going to get that one as well.

Side note: Now the Bones Avatar episode got a whole new meaning LMAO

We actually went to Game Stop afterwards because we both wanted to check out the Avatar game just because the visuals were so stunning in the movie. Too bad it's not out for PS2 (dammit!) and it's 50 Euros for the Wii (65€ for PS3 and Xbox360, like WTF!). So we decided against it. I think I have to go search Amazon now and see if you pre-order the movie already XD

So, I have discovered the nerdvana that is The Big Bang Theory. Probably because I understand it so much... well, except for the genius portion of it. I too talk of television shows and know too much trivia, have more toys than I probably should (though not as many as them), and have been labeled a geek. I do love Star Trek, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Scrubs (what's not to love? *grin*), and own Fiddler on the Roof.

I made the mistake of wondering which one I was most like. Without hesitation, all my roommates (my siblings) and friends here exclaimed, "Sheldon". Seriously? So, I thought about it. And then they were "kind" enough to point out our similarities. Turns out I'm insistent when I think I'm right, have to have things my way, and am quite annoying when sick... and yet am able to maintain a few friends anyway.

I decided to take one of those personality tests to make sure. Guess what? I'm Sheldon...

Is anyone else a big geek about this show? I spent a good portion of Christmas having a TBBT marathon, since my brother got season 1 for Christmas. It's just hilarious. Why doesn't CBS put this on hulu or OnDemand? Very sad.

Preface: I have not watched any of the specials yet this year. I am actually starting with The End of Time: Part 1. I am also writing this as I watch it for the first time, so instant reactions. Thank you, BBC America, for finally putting it on.

And away we go! Spoilers for this special… )

Why did I watch this become the conclusion was out?!?!? What is wrong with me??!!? Now I have to wait for days until I get the answer!

All right, so, I rewatched it on my own this morning, and my thoughts are a little clearer now. I didn't come away from it feeling quite the same as I did yesterday. The first time, I'd felt like my brain had been squished from the crack, so watching it again to wrap my head around it helped a lot. However, having said that, this is by far not at all my favorite episode. In fact I think I'd place it down there as 3rd place on my list of Least Favorite Episodes, right after The Voyage of the Damned and Planet of the Dead.

But here are my thoughts on some key points. )

I really shouldn't post anything until I sit down on my own and watch this episode a second time, but I'm gonna just say a few things until then 'cause I can't resist. So here we go, in bullet points, my main three thoughts throughout the ep:
  • What the heck????  (And not in a good way)
  • Master LOL.  (Again, not really in a good way)
  • ...I hate it when speculation/rumors I hate come true.
  • (did I say what the heck?)

Will come back and say more maybe once I've watched it again and collected my thoughts. Maybe. In the meantime, I do have to say that Ten was very yummy all throughout, and you can just never go wrong with that. x)

So I've been putting off working on my Festivids vid till.... today. Too much stuff going on. And I got about half of it done already, thee hee. Scratch that. I got about 3/4 done already XD I hope my giftee will like it!

So....... I got something really cool from my brothers for Christmas.....

Roswell - the Complete Boxset

The thing is.... they already gave me season 1 a few years back XD But who cares, it's the complete boxset ZOMG!

On another note, what did my parents get me? AKA what did I tell my parents I wanted?

Torchwood - the Ultimate Collection (Seasons 1, 2 & Children of the Earth)

Aaaaaand, they got it for me, wheeeeeeee!

My sister got me Guitar Hero - Aerosmith and A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart. How cool!

Oh, and [info]rhoboat ? My mom LOVES her Sansaclip! Thanks for the tip! Sister squee'ed about the Nunchuk for her Wii (now we can finally play together) and my bros liked the Complete STTNG Collection we all got for them (gah, they charge you an arm and a leg for those!). Now they just have to figure out who gets to watch it first XD

Saturday is gonna be kid's Christmas. They are gonna have Xmas today with the parents and Saturday with us. I got my older nephew a Hot Wheels race set. What did my little bro tell me today he got the nephew? A Carrera race set *facepalm* Well, Carrera is electric remote control cars on a race set and I betcha it is gonna be more used by my brothers than the nephew. At least with Hot Wheels he can control the cars himself. AAAAAND it's got a dinosaurs that yo can attach to the race track, so there. Better than Carrera :p

First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Second of all, RIP Fozzy. I drove by my sister's place today to get her Xmas presents and feed the bunnies because she had to work. When I walked into her living room, I found poor Fozzy laying on the side in his cage.... Bonnie was sitting by his side with a sad little face :(  I didn't know if I should call my sis or not and tell her about her bunny, but then I decided I was just gonna pack him into a box and burry him in our backyard. He is now resting peacefully under the cherry tree. I still haven't told my sister as she's still at work, but I know she'll be really upset. At least she didn't have to see the poor bunny. My dad was majorly upset as well. Fozzy was their favorite bunny. I think it was just his time to go. My sister had him  for 3 years and he was already about 3 years when she got him. So it was his time to go.... his timing just sucked. I am not looking forward to having to tell my sister when she gets back from work in about half an hour.

Title: Let the Clock Numbers Fall
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Ten/Rose
Genre: fluff, angst, romance
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: Doctor Who belongs to the BBC
Beta: None, so please forgive mistakes
Summary: She makes him forget things, horrible tragedies and guilt and even time itself. Even though in this moment he can feel it against his fingertips, taste it on his tongue, he doesn’t notice it when she’s with him. She makes it all come to a frozen stop, like a broken clock without a face of numbers.
A/N: Written for [info]then_theres_us Challenge 19, using prompts #009 and #028. Back to non-AU, regular canonical fic now. Haven't really got anything to say about this one, so. Hope you guys enjoy. :)

And he positively loves that about her. )
